-I’ve ridden bikes, just like every other SoCal kid, from the age of an 2nd grade boy, it was our jam as children. Riding from Poway to Mira mesa, Chucky Cheese with the dudes was a thing. Mountain bikes in 1990’s during the hay day if the Mammoth Mountain Kamakazi and the end of the Tomac era was my inspiration on my GT Avalanche growing up. Its been 40 years of riding bikes on and off, Team Drop Zone is the latest 2020 way to get the mojo going again. Tracking my fitness and training under a coach isn’t new, but, it is new post child, and being a father of an 8 year old girl. Kids take time, and Im proud to say I savored those years to this point, when Sammy can join us on training rides, and crack the whip on us via her 24” eMTB. I’m proud to say I raised the team manager and she’s uber cute homeschool kid who takes on the team as her school project. Planning rides, scheduling, and keeping us fueled is her self appointed job.
